Adding and editing your work history
How to add, arrange, and describe your kitchen experience.
4 min readYour work history is the heart of your CV. Each entry shows where you worked, what your role was, and what you achieved. CuliNect formats this automatically — you just fill in the details.
Adding a new job
Open Work History
On web, use Work History on the Dashboard. On mobile, open the CV tab and edit Work history. Tap Add position to open the form.
Fill in the details
Restaurant or establishment name, your title, start date, and end date (or leave blank if current). Add a short description — one or two sentences about what you were responsible for.
Tap Save
The entry appears on your CV immediately and sorts by date automatically.
Writing a good description
Keep it short and specific. Avoid vague phrases like 'worked in kitchen'. Instead write what you actually did:
- Managed pastry section for a 60-cover fine dining restaurant.
- Trained and supervised 3 junior cooks on sauce preparation.
- Designed seasonal menus for a 120-person hotel breakfast service.
Reordering entries
Entries are automatically sorted most-recent-first. If you have overlapping roles, they'll appear in the order you added them. Manual reordering is coming in a future update.
Deleting an entry
Open the entry, choose Delete, and confirm. The entry is removed from your CV and cannot be restored in the app.
Deleting work history does not withdraw a published reference request. Review References separately before removing an entry with verification activity.
Be honest about dates and roles. When you apply for a ChefSeal, our reviewers will verify your work history claims against the documents you submit.
