Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 June 2025
By creating a CuliNect account, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they're written in plain language and kept short on purpose.
1. The service
CuliNect provides a platform for culinary professionals to build, host, and share their professional CV and connect with other chefs and kitchens. Core features are free. We reserve the right to add paid features in the future, but will never charge for features that are currently free without notice.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate information. A fake identity or false credentials violates these terms.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share it.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
3. Your content
You own everything you post on CuliNect. By posting, you grant CuliNect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and share your content as necessary to operate the service (for example, showing your profile to other users or generating a PDF export).
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that:
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent (especially regarding work history or credentials).
- Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
- Is abusive, threatening, or harassing toward any person.
- Violates any applicable law.
4. Honesty doctrine
CuliNect's core promise is that verified information is actually verified. Submitting false evidence for a Seal, fabricating work history, or misrepresenting credentials is a serious violation. We will permanently ban accounts found doing this and may report fraudulent activity to relevant parties.
5. Seals and verification
A "Seal" on CuliNect means we have reviewed and verified the relevant credential. We make reasonable efforts to verify but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information. A Seal is not an employment recommendation or endorsement beyond what it specifically states.
We reserve the right to revoke a Seal if evidence of fraud or misrepresentation is found after it was issued.
6. Trails and bookings
CuliNect facilitates connections between chefs and kitchens through the Trails feature. We are a platform, not a staffing agency. We are not party to any work arrangement that results from a Trail or booking. Chefs and kitchens are responsible for complying with all applicable employment, labour, and food safety laws.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from CuliNect without written permission.
- Use CuliNect to send unsolicited messages (spam).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the platform.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
8. Termination
You can close your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion. We will try to give notice before doing so, except in cases of serious violation (fraud, illegal content, harassment).
9. Disclaimers
CuliNect is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for any loss of data or business resulting from downtime or errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India. If you are located in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under local consumer protection law that these terms cannot override.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of CuliNect after that date constitutes acceptance.
