Accessibility statement
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use CuliNect. This page says what we aim for, how we check, and what is still not good enough. It was last reviewed on 29 October 2026.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is also the standard behind India's Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 guidance for digital services. The site works with a keyboard, with a phone held in either direction, in light and dark colours, and when text is made larger.
How we check
- An automated scan with axe-core runs over the main public and signed-in screens, in light and dark colours, on a phone-size screen. It currently finds no A or AA problems on those screens.
- Every screen is opened in an automated test for script errors, sideways scrolling and blank pages.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels, form fields have labels, and icons that carry meaning have text names.
What is still weak
Automated scans catch only part of the problems. We have not yet had the site tested by people who use screen readers every day, so some screens may be awkward to use with one. The world food map and the 3D globe are visual; the same information is available in the lists below them, but the experience is better with sight. Advertising and analytics code from other companies, which only loads if you accept it, is outside our control. Most pages are in English; the main screens are also available in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil.
Tell us about a barrier
If something does not work for you, please tell us which page and what device or assistive tool you use. We acknowledge every message within 24 hours and aim to fix or answer within 15 days. Use the grievance page, which reaches our grievance officer directly. If you ask, we will give you the information in another way, for example by email in plain text.
