How CuliNect checks CVs

A CV on CuliNect is what the chef wrote. We show clearly how much of it has been checked.

The four levels

Every job entry displays one evidence level.

Not checked yet
Not checked yet

The chef wrote it, nobody has checked it.

Documented
Documented

Document attached, not checked by CuliNect. It does not prove the job.

Two different people who worked with the chef said so. Not checked by an employer.

Verified

Strictly reserved for verified employer/venue owner attestation or approved administrative audit. Gold styling is never used for peer references. Verified venue owners can review and attest candidate roles directly.

Gold · verified owner

What Verified does not prove

  • That the chef is good at the job.
  • That a referee is who they say they are. We are adding stronger checks.
  • Verified status reflects direct employer attestation from a verified venue owner. Colleagues' confirmation is shown separately in silver.

How search ranking works

Public chef profiles appear in this order:

  1. An exact handle or display name match comes first.
  2. Next, a handle or name starting with your search comes before other handle or name matches, then matches in a tagline, city, or station.
  3. The strongest evidence level on a visible work entry comes next: Verified, Confirmed, Documented, then Not checked yet.
  4. Then we look at profile completeness: a photo, a headline, and at least one work entry.
  5. More recently updated profiles come next.
  6. Finally, a stable profile ID keeps ties in a consistent order.

No one can pay to rank higher.

How to check a CV yourself

  • Open the chef's CuliNect link.
  • Look at who confirmed each job, when the person agreed to show their name.
  • Phone the kitchen or the person.
  • Ask the chef for details.

Employers: confirm your team

Verified venue owners can review and attest candidate work history directly in their venue management queue.
